*We express sympathy to James & Nancy Cooper (Charis) on the passing of his niece, Trina Cooper on Friday, January 11. The wake will be held on Friday, January 18, 5:00-7:00 pm at Harrison's Memorial Chapel (3320 Mill Branch Rd.), and the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 19 at Brown Missionary Church (980 Stateline Rd. E.).

Returning Member

*Ruth Turner came forward during the Sunday evening worship service to rejoin our White Station family and to ask for prayers on her behalf. Be sure to welcome her in the Sunday morning Auditorium worship service.

Food Pantry Needs

Our Food Pantry serves people throughout the year, and there has been an increased need this month. Current Food Pantry needs are: family size soup cans, peanut butter, instant cereal, and copy paper boxes.

Monday Night Meals for SOMA

The spring semester at SOMA starts Monday, January 14th. We are in desperate need of folks to volunteer to bring our Monday Night Meals. If you or a group would be interested in providing a meal for starving college students this semester, please see the available dates below. It doesn’t have to be fancy! If you do not have the time to cook a meal but would be willing to donate funds ($75-$100), we will find someone to do the cooking. Dinner is served at 6:00 p.m., and we currently plan to feed about 45-50 people each week. Men's Retreat

Our Men’s Retreat “UNDIVIDED” will be February 23rd-24th at Victory Ranch in Bolivar, TN. Our speaker will be Rubel Shelly. The Men’s Retreat is an event for all men, seniors in high school through seniors 65 & older.  We depart from the CLC Saturday morning at 7:30 am & return at noon Sunday. The base cost is $50. Please register by Sunday, February 10th. Jack P. Lewis Christian Studies Seminar

The Jack P. Lewis Christian Studies Seminar will be held on Saturday, January 26th 8:30 am – 1:00 pm. A light lunch will be provided for $5. Dr. Harold Shank, who served 32 years with the Highland Street Church of Christ in Memphis, as professor at both Oklahoma Christian and Harding School of Theology, and as President of Ohio Valley University. He is currently a consultant and is the national spokesperson for Network 1:27. He will speak on the book of Isaiah, and we will use his material in our adult Bible classes next spring. HST Course Audit 

Members of our congregation are eligible to participate in the Church Audit program at Harding School of Theology. You may audit select courses for only $50. The Spring 2019 course is: Corinthian Letters: Dr. Richard E. Oster, Jr. (Tuesdays, 6-8:45 pm, Jan. 22 - May 7). This course will lead you to a general knowledge of the content of Paul’s Corinthian Letters and a better understanding of how it applies to us today. For more information or to register, visit, call the HST Admissions Office at 901-432-7750, or simply come to the first class meeting.

HST Pie Auction

The Women for Harding will host their annual Pie Auction on Saturday, January 26th at 6 pm. In the Fellowship Hall. Tickets will be available for $10 at the door, and all proceeds will benefit students at Harding School of Theology.
