Senior Minister Search Update

Your Senior Minister Search Committee has begun the series of interviews with the various candidates, all of whom are excellent ministers. Each Triad (group of three members) will conduct two interviews with a candidate. Those applicants that best fit our situation at White Station will be passed on to the entire committee for further evaluation. In such a fashion will a minister be recommended to your elders for final evaluation. Continue to pray for the committee, for the candidates, for your elders and for our congregation that God will make choice for us all. Don't forget Fasting Fridays!

Mask Up, Memphis!

In the spirit of a community that continues to care for each other, a group of concerned community members, government and business people have banded together to provide information and, most important, masks to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our city. Shelby County has already seen more than 8,000 cases of the virus, leading to 164 deaths.

Not everyone who is infected has tell-tale symptoms. This is why it’s important we all wear face coverings when we leave our homes. You don’t need a medical-grade mask. Wear a bandana or scarf around your face, or create a mask from old shirt fabric or other material you like. Instructions and patterns are available online. Wash your face covering after each use. How you wear your mask is important, too! Be sure to cover your nose and mouth. If you or someone else needs a mask, go here

Church Office & CLC Closure

As the ministry team and staff continues to work from home, we remain available to assist you in any way possible. Contact us at office@cocws.org or 901-761-2007 and let us know how we can help you or if you have any questions.  Prepackaged communion wafer and juice sets can still be picked up outside the front door of the CLC, Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Prayer Request on Behalf of Dr. Jim Wheless

Thank you all for praying for relief from the current pandemic, wisdom for those developing and testing new treatments and good health and calm for those in the health care field. In my 45 years of medicine I have never seen a time with so many anxious colleagues and co-workers at the hospital. They need to know they are being prayed for daily. Thanks for supporting in prayer these health professionals.
