Dear Church Family,
Our numbers are increasing. More and more people are
making White Station their church home. Weekly introductions
of new members make that clear. As a result, we have
no rooms for new Bible classes, and many current classrooms
are bursting at the seams. Praise the Lord for increas-ing
numbers!
Our numbers are increasing and our mission is galvanizing.
We are committed to serving every-one in our diverse
community, leading the lost to Christ, and helping us
all become fully mature Christians. That mission is
generating great dreams––dreams of ways
to do what God has called us to do. We are committed
to ensuring that those dreams are made real, that our
mission is made real. Praise God for a galvanizing mission!
One dream that our increasing numbers and galvanizing
mission have generated is the dream of building additional
facilities. The proposed facilities will provide a front
door onto our campus, much needed classroom space, and
an outreach center through which to better serve our
community and reach the lost.
It is vital for every one of us to understand how tightly
connected these new facilities are to our mission. The
additional classroom space will advance our mission
of helping us all become fully mature Christians by
providing us with the needed space to mature through
the study of Scripture and the sharing of our faith.
The outreach center will be opened up to our diverse
community. We will serve community members who need
a safe place to walk, exercise, and engage in indoor
sports. We will serve Colonial Middle School (White
Station’s adopted school) by providing gym access
at times that will reduce the scheduling problems that
Colonial Middle has with its one gym for multiple teams
and a variety of activities. The majority of Colonial
Middle School children are from low-income families.
The outreach center will enhance our ability to connect
personally with the poor in our community.
Our theme for this campaign is “Make It Real.”
What we are making real is our mission statement. Our
mission statement is only real, is only authentic when
we act upon it and make it live. Building these new
facilities is an opportunity to do just that––to
“Make It Real”! We believe this theme captures
the spirit of who we are as a church and what we are
called to accomplish in the Kingdom of God.
It is our prayer that you will support White Station’s
“Make It Real” campaign. Your prayers, participation,
and support are greatly needed and valued.
Enclosed you will find a Q and A sheet that will answer
many frequently asked questions. Below is a list of
the leaders who are directing this campaign. We will
do our best to communicate what is going on at all times.
With a project and campaign of this magnitude, it is
important to let everyone know what is going on and
what is needed. So, if over the coming weeks, you think
we are repeating ourselves––you will be
absolutely right.
If you still have questions about the building project
or the campaign, please do not hesitate to contact us
(Dale or Rodney) or any of the leaders listed below.
Our elders and ministry team members are united in their
commitment to this project and can also provide you
with the information you need.
May God bless us as we embark on this journey together.
Grace and Peace,
