ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION PROGRAM TO BE PRESENTED ON FRIDAY, DEC. 5

Tammy Deniro, program director, will present this program to everyone whose lives have been touched through the care of an Alzheimer's family member or to anyone who would like to volunteer for this program.  Individuals who have an interest in beginning a WS Alzheimer's support group are encouraged to attend this meeting from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Coffee House.

Each year White Station hosts an annual Cookies and Milk event to benefit Agape Child and Family Services. This year's event will be held on December 5 in the Fellowship Hall. One exciting part of our evening is the silent auction. Your help is needed in the following ways: help your Bible class put together a theme basket; ask local business contacts you might have to donate items; sign-up for the bake sale; and sign-up to help with the fun and games for the children in the Life Center (sign-up sheets are now available in each Bible class). You may bring all your items for the silent auction to Theresa Jordan's office by Monday, December 1.

COFFEE HOUSE CHRISTMAS PARTY- FRIDAY, DEC. 12

Come and be treated to a Sing-A-Long with Leon and join in a pot-luck luncheon - all beginning at 10:30 AM.  We need volunteers to help with the decorations.

A Christmas tree is placed in common areas around the White Station campus with ornaments on them. These ornaments will not look like the normal trinkets we place on our trees at home, but these ornaments are for special purposes that the Church of Christ at White Station has chosen to help this Christmas season. Choose to receive one less gift this year, take an ornament off of the tree, pray for the people you are about to bless, and then follow the instructions on the ornament. The four causes this year are:

The Village of HopePurchase a desk for the Village of Hope School (return your check to the person working the Joy to the World table or give to Theresa Jordan or Courtney Garland).

The Moses CoalitionPurchase educational toys for toddlers in the inner city  (return your gift to one of the trees by Dec. 7).

Colonial Middle SchoolProvide a memorable Christmas for a student and his/her family (return your wrapped gift with the name of whom it is for and place it under one of the trees by Dec. 7).

MUM Christmas Store:Provide toys to be sold to needy families in the inner city at a highly reduced price (place gift under one of the trees by Dec. 7 - see details below)

Loweinstein House  Provide gifts for mentally challenged adults (place gift under one of the trees by Dec. 7)

MUM CHRISTMAS TOY STORE

Only one more week before the toy donation deadline! Our church is collecting new toys, $8-$25 in value, which will be used at the MUM Christmas Toy Store. The deadline for donated toys is this Sunday, December 7 ! This year, you can also shop from the MUM Christmas Store gift registry at any Walmart store or online at www.walmart.com/wishlist . Just go to the registry kiosk, and use “MUM” as the first name and “Christmas” as the last name. These toys will then be resold at a highly discounted price to low income families in the city. The MUM Christmas Toy Stores allow these families to purchase toys for their own kids at affordable prices without forcing them to accept another handout that strips them of their dignity. Please leave the price tags on the toys and do not wrap them . Don't forget that MUM needs 3000 toys and gifts , so let's help MUM by donating lots of toys!
